In response to natural emergencies and road closures that have affected the main and alternate routes to the Eastern Plains, SATENA, the airline of Colombians, has demonstrated its commitment to the country's connectivity

The situation of roadblocks and landslides has generated the need to keep transportation lines operational to ensure the mobility of passengers and cargo. In this regard, the airline has implemented a strategy to expand its air coverage, providing 2,527 seats so that more passengers can take advantage of these additional frequencies that have been added to meet the travelers' needs to that destination.

"At SATENA, our priority is to connect the country and accompany Colombians in difficult times. In the face of adverse situations on the roads to the Eastern Plains, we have enabled additional flights and launched an action plan to reorganize our operation and effectively address the emergency," stated Brigadier General Óscar Zuluaga Castaño, President of SATENA.

These additional routes are being operated with ATR42 and ERJ145 aircraft, representing an immediate solution for people facing difficulties in traveling due to road closures. The airline is committed to further increasing flight frequencies in the coming days to continue supporting mobility needs between the two cities.

Flights started operating from July 19th and will continue to increase according to aircraft availability and the action plan that has been implemented to address the emergency and mitigate social and economic effects

SATENA maintains its commitment to providing affordable travel options for all travelers, keeping ticket prices in a range from $249,950 to $439,950. This demonstrates its ongoing effort to facilitate access to air transportation without raising costs at a time when mobility is a significant challenge.
